Islam - a Fresh Look

There is in the western world a tragic misunderstanding of Islam. This section of the website is to recognize that there are sincere, God fearing Muslims that we need to accept as brothers. This is not to say that we agree on all points, but rather to recognize that there is a "silent majority" in Islam as there is in the western world.
Not only are there sincere, God fearing Muslims, but we need to go even deeper to note some surprising statements in the Koran with which we would say "amen." And we need to know more about Mohammed and the development of his religion.
I need also to make clear who I am. I am an American, born in the Belgian Congo of missionary parents. My wife and I spent five years in Ethiopia where we came in contact with Muslims on a very friendly basis. To the western mind, we are Christian; to the Muslims we are "hanif" Seventh-day Adventists.
It will take time to prepare the articles for this section. I advise those who can improve the truth of what is said to join the discussion forum or to email the author with your comments and questions.
